Time will tell. I hope that as we learn more, we will learn how to prevent autism as well as help those who have austism spectrum disorders. > www.BreastImplantAwareness.org Did you see the good news? The FDA approved silicone breast implants. Silicon will be used for more than computers: It will be used to help ladies feel better about themselves. I just hope they do better follow-up studies on any side-effects of these ladies. They deserve it. They deserve it. Jeff, the proposal for follow-up seems to leave the collection of data with the manufacturers. I look at that as pouring information into a black hole to never be seen again. When you take that along with the Utah federal district court overturning the FDA's ephedra ban, it becomes even scarier. If you recall, the FDA had banned ephedra only after jumping through hoops to get the information that they used to justify the ban. The manufacturers, who are mainly in Utah (follow the money), knew there were problems, and were sitting on it. They had no legal obligation to provide it to the FDA. Sadly, SB 722, which would have required them to forward adverse event information to the FDA died on December 31, 2004. It is not a pretty picture that is being presented. |

It's funny how few people want to talk about the link between hidden
food allergies and autism. I did read an article about food allergies and autism in the Wall Street Journal around March 2005. I guess the drug companies would have less drugs to sell if people solved their health problems by changing their diet. For more info read, "Dr. Braly's Food Allergy and Nutrition Revolution" or "Food Allergies and Food Intolerance" by Dr. Jonathan Brostoff. Hidden Food Allergies can also trigger psoriasis, eczema, asthma, joint pain, headaches, sleep disorders, acne, ADD and many other health problems. Brad_Chad62@yahoo.com |

Do you read JAMA to find out which stocks to buy? I guess the > drug companies would have less drugs to sell if people solved their > health problems by changing their diet. Can you tell me what drugs are used to treat autism? The only sales pitches I see to parents of autistic kids are those from the charlatans. Hey Idiot, Mark Probert, the Wall Street Journal reports on all types
of subjects. If you read something other than a comic book, you would know that. You obviously have a denser head than I thought. The drug companies would sell less of all types of drugs if doctors looked for hidden food allergies. There was a recent report that Ritalin has been linked to depression in adulthood when it is constantly prescribed to children. If more doctors eliminated certain foods from kids diets, there would be less Ritalin given to kids. Get off your lazy behind, Mark Probert, and study the topic of Hidden Food Allergies. Conventional Medicine dismisses it because they don't understand HOW it works. It does work though. Conventional medicine is afraid to do proper research on it because they are afraid of being proved wrong. If you are too lazy to do thorough research on the topic, then maybe you should keep your stupid mouth shut. Brad_Chad62@yahoo.com |

ADHD(or ADD as you call it) isn't caused by food allergies: if a cause, *any* cause is found for attentional difficulties or other ADHD-like symptoms the disorder or illness can no longer be called ADHD. A food allergy would be called a food allergy instead of ADHD etc. Other potential causes of the symptoms should be ruled out before an ADHD diagnosis is made, though of course one can have *both* ADHD and an allergy or other health problem causing similar symptoms at the same time. The drug companies > would sell less of all types of drugs if doctors looked for hidden food > allergies. What makes you "think" (for want of a more descriptive word) that doctors do not look for food allergies? Are you present in every doctors' office in the world? There was a recent report that Ritalin has been linked to > depression in adulthood when it is constantly prescribed to children. Not quite...but, why let facts confuse you. > If more doctors eliminated certain foods from kids diets, there would > be less Ritalin given to kids. AD/HD is not caused by food allergies. That hypothesis has been debunked for decades. Further, the proper diagnosis of AD/HD requires that all other causes, including food allergies, be ruled out. Get off your lazy behind, Mark Probert, > and study the topic of Hidden Food Allergies. Been there, done that (wrt AD/HD) two decades ago. Conventional Medicine > dismisses it because they don't understand HOW it works. Bull****. You use one of the most moronic arguments of AltMedWorld. It does work > though.
