Totally hitting the hammer with the nail! (Just showing off my literary skills. The competition is brutal.) moo |

Soda pop has a very acid Ph level of 2. A real "health nut" would not touch soda pop with a ten-foot pole. |

But they wouldn't touch it because it's "empty calories." YOU wouldn't touch it because of your irrational fear of "pH 2." You must lead a very frightened existence, one that gets worse every time you fall for another health scare. By now, you're probably carrying around a portable pH meter to test all your food. -- David Wright :: alphabeta at prodigy.net These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct. I can't see that it'll make much difference. Betty Martini will just shift from paranoid fear of aspartame to paranoid fear of some other sweetener. Personally, I'd like to see aspartame replaced by something that tastes better. Bring back cyclamate, for that matter. -- David Wright :: alphabeta at prodigy.net These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct. Actually, my "taste buds" do not like taste of soda pop. Too syrup-ly and sugar-ly to suit my taste buds. > You must lead a very frightened existence, one that gets worse every > time you fall for another health scare. By now, you're probably > carrying around a portable pH meter to test all your food. I only avoid these three food item groups: sugar; dairy (including cow's milk) products; and soda pop. And also try to avoid drinking tap water, if possible. Except for dairy (including cow's milk) products, my taste buds are sensitive for the above items. But since my body is sensitive to dairy (including cow's milk) products [strep throats/lung congestion], I have good health reasons to avoid the dairy group forever. So that is less than six food items I will avoid. Not that bad. |

Bring back cyclamate, for that matter. This sugar discussion does not bother me at all. Since my taste buds do not like the taste of sugar. |
