Jones dropped down in weight (to 175) to regain from Tarver the light
heavyweight hostinghostinghostingles he gave up when he defeated Ruiz for a version of the
heavyweight hostinghostinghostingle.

You confuse hostinghostinghostingle Holder with Champion.

The Champion at Heavyweight is Lennox Lewis .
There are other hostinghostinghostingle Holders at Heavy including Byrd and Jones but only
Lewis is the Champion.

The Champion at Light Heavy is Julio Gonzalez (Who recently defeated Dariusz
Michalczewski for the Championship)
RJJ does however hold all the other credible hostinghostinghostingles but has yet to win the
Championship by beating an existing Champion.

To be the Champion, You have to beat the existing Champion. To be a hostinghostinghostingle
Holder, you simply have to pay the corrupt sanctioning bodies enough to
sanction your fights.

You are clueless if you think Gonzalez is the LHW champ and RJJ is just a
hostinghostinghostingle holder.

Default Re: Roy Jones JR question

Gonzelez is the Man who beat the existing Champion. Like it or not, that
makes him the new Champion. RJJ is clearly the best Lt. Heavy and he has
made a career of collecting hostinghostinghostingles but he still has not beat a reigning
Champion at Heavy or Lt. Heavy. He has clearly dominated all hostinghostinghostingle holders
though.

To be the Heavyweight Champion, you have to beat Lennox Lewis (Beating any
other hostinghostinghostingle holder just means you re now also a hostinghostinghostingle Holder)

Same applies to Lt. Heavy or any other Division. Unfortunately very few
divisions have clearly established Lineal Champions.

He may be the best to you and I'm sure millions of fans too, but from
this viewer's perspective, he's probably one of the most colorless,
pukeable champions in the ring. Boy, that coward of a boxer really
makes me puke. Some sports commentators even have the nerve to put him
in league with the great Sugar Ray Leonard. Excuse me but I see Roy
Jones as nothing more than a cunning, hit and run boxer who's so
scared of being hit. He may have the agility and quickness of Leonard
but the latter could stand toe to toe with any boxer in his clhostinghostinghosting
during his days. With Roy Jones you wouldn't see a fight betweem two
boxers slugging it out in one full half minute without one running
away like a chicken. Boy, that Roy Jones guy really makes me puke.

Your opinion is worth about as much as your name....

That's why Roy Jones Jr. is not and never has been a true lineal
champion at any weight now or in the past. Here an online list of the
true world champion throughout history:

Jones has never beaten a lineal (true) champ while they were holding
the hostinghostinghostingle. He's only beaten ex champs, later to be champs or never
were scantioning body (paper) champs. Gonzalez is champion because he
won it from the champion who held the hostinghostinghostingle before. Jones did beat
Gomzalez but that was before Gonzalez won the true hostinghostinghostingle. THERE CAN BE
ONLY ONE CHAMPION AT EACH WEIGHT AT A TIME. Here's a site that records
them:

This is not brain surgery, brainless moron. Any opinion in this
subject is just as subjective as any other. Your fellow arrogant Jones
is NOTHING compared to Sugar Ray Leonard. The man is a pompous hit and
run coward.
