Boxing Sport Moore vs Foreman

Default Moore vs Foreman

I caught the Legendary Nights show on HBO about the fight. Have not
seeing the fight myself. Did George get lucky or was it the brilliant
plan he said he had that won him the fight?

George was lucky as hell and he know it.

There is nothing lucky about hitting a guy on the chin who you have tried to
hit on the chin for several rounds...

There is no such thing as luck. Luck didn't throw the two punch combination
that knocked Moorer (as well as many others) straight smooth out. The fight
plan such as it is could have only been to land the big shot at some point.
He launched it several times. He finally landed it and BOOM! Flat out the
single most significant and sensational knockout of the 1990's in the entire
sport and my single fondest boxing memory as a fan of all time.

If Moorer would have ducked once more time, he would have been champion and get
KOed in his next fight by Lennox Lewis.

Both. George's plan was to land the big punch and he executed his plan
perfectly. However, if Moorer and Foreman had fought 10 times I
believe that Moorer would have won more than half of them. So it was a
good plan, it was executed well by Foreman, but he still required a
certain amount of luck for it to work.

Agreed, few punches are ever thrown with the intention of missing.

Luck had nothing to do with it. It was all STUPIDITY. Stupidity on
Michael Moorer's part. Moorer was stupid, I'm sorry, Moorer was DAMN
STUPID to think that he could stand right the f*ck in front of the
hardest puncher EVER in HW history for twelve rounds and not get
KO'ed. All Moorer had to do was give George a BOXING lesson -->
Moorer UD. EASY. Some people just have to learn the HARD way....

Well then that isn't luck. That is match making.
