When he comes on with the strat for the extended (40 minute!!!) encore, I
feel my chest tighten and my heart race. When he plays the first two notes
of Difficult to Cure, I'm all misty-eyed. When he wails his way through
Rainbow Blues, I think I'm forgetting to breathe because it's all gone

and blurry. When he hammers out a riff to introduce 16th Century
Greensleeves, I can't see the stage for tears.

I don't know how he does it.
Apparently he saves up from the concert where he didnt' bother to do an
encore!

Ritchie Blackmore still rocks. It's not all he does, but damn it's still

important part.
He certainly didn't when I saw him. There was some good guitar work hear and
there, but most of the time Ritchie failed to impress.

The music on the album is OK but do you like the naff lyrics too ? Makes me
cringe some of it.

The lyrics can range between good and "umm...". They're not particularly
deep and meaningful but they suit the melodies. I think Candice does write
some beautiful poetry, on occasion. Sure, some of it is a bit "hallmark",
but she's American so I make allowances ;-)

Between corny and naff, I'd say. By far the best songs are those written by
others, like the Joan Baez one. That sounds great. Also Rainbow Blues .

You'll be wanting this then ...

I found it in 'Movies'. A Blackmore's Night desktop theme !
