Of course anyone with the mindset to keep such a list should add their
own name to it!

The fact is, he knew.
He went to the dealer, the dealer gave him a price....that is the retail
price in most markets for the cap. Once he asked, the parts guy told him,
and then he knew.
Why whine about it if you want it?
Flaming, at times, isnt really flaming. Its driving home a point that
obviously in Neds case didnt hit home.

Well Ned if you can even find the message through all the **** posted
here, that is pretty much normal now. Dodge dealer parts prices are
right up there pricewise with ones such as Volkswagen. And as a VW
car and Dodge truck guy, I have to say if I had to buy a dealer part
for one of my vehicles I would rather get it from VW because there
prices aren't as bad. Never would have thought I would be saying
that though. But that's the reality and I suspect it's that way with
a lot of the manufacturers now, not just European ones. And if the
rest of you get annoyed with all the kids cluttering the ng, look into
joining a mailing list for your particular truck as you won't find
these guys on there-they get removed very quickly. As for JC Whitney
I wouldn't use anything from them on my cars. Now if you were an
aircooled guy way back that may be an exception, but I would use
anything from them on watercooled VWs.
