company (HMO) has left me with a serious concern for the wellbeing and the life of those who being victimized by a very corrupt health care system in this country. My pregnancy had some complication but Heathnet almost killed both my baby and myself with their thick bureaucracy and disrepect for the life of patients. I myself have now learned the meaning of the say: "We are not profits. We are patients". Healthnet delayed their approval and gave us a painful runaround and lots of pain and agonies before we finally received the proper treatment. Even then, they tried a few more stunts to discourage us from filing a formal complaint. It turned out that the insurance companies have our judicial system wired: the system has been set up to serve the interests of the insurance companies - not the patients, of whom these insurance companies look upon as 'cash cows' - rather than "patients". In the US, it's not the polluted air and poisonous foods that kill you. It's the networks of greedy and evil people in the health insurance business that would soon or later do you in. We are moving back to Columbia before we get killed by a very evil system of healthcareless. ** Posted from http://www.teranews.com ** |

I was in the hospital for salmonella food poisining last week. The doctors spent two days trying to make me sign a paper to have my appendix removed. The small print said whatever they remove they own! I refused to sign. Maria, the small print said that they can do whatever with your parts. That means there would be no proof that an unecessary operation had been performed! |
