We started making our Mothers day project this morning, Using tissue paper
(ground up in blender) put into heart shaped molds, making ornaments, with mom
poems attached. Didnt do a very good job of explaining it but they sure are
colorfull and pretty! Found them on the pampered chef web site of all places.

A Mother's Love

There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

by Jill Lemming**

And

Mommy, I love you
For all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile 'cause I love you
On this Mother's Day.

Of everything I've ever lost, I miss my mind the most.

We've made soap dishes with homemade soap. The soap dishes are just clay and
the children rolled out their ball of clay into a flat circle and made a
handprint. Later they painted the clay hand shaped soap dish and we sprayed
them with sealant. The children really had fun painting and making them.

I think that we are going to do the children's silouettes....cut them out of
black construction paper, and paste them onto white....attach a poem, and
viola....I'll probably add some hardprint craft with it too, as mom's always
need those every couple of months!!

They all sound great. Mine are doing a handprint on heart shaped cardboard
with a little poem to go with it.

We are painting flower pots for mom and putting a bag of seeds in a card
with sappy love seed poem. Mom will love it.

Mother's Day her in the UK is in March so it's all done and dusted here! We
planted and grew flower seeds with our dc's and made the old faithful
handprints made in pealised paint ( lovely stuff makes everything look
special!) into butterflies 3D of the card. Kids made little labels to stick
in the plants wrote their own name or emergent writing if at that stage and
made their own hand made wrapping paper, sponge painting a repeating pattern
all very educational !! lol Butterfies on cards as the current theme was
mini-beasts.
Enjoy your Mother's day feet up if at all possible.
I was very pampered this year as my dd is twelve and made a big fuss.
Breakfast in bed, homemade pancakes, flowers on the tray, cards and a heart
shaped gold necklace from her and my 9yr old ds. Plus back rub and manicure
later it was soooo good.
Next year as a moody teenager I'll probable get a dirty look!
