for about a year. Our daycare provider is like family to us and we are so sad to have to change arrangements when our son starts school in the fall. I'm looking for poems and gift ideas to express how we much we love her. I don't want to give her anything generic like chocolates, flowers, gift certificates, etc, but something special and personal. As starters...I'd like to bind a selection of poems for her and then who knows?(...maybe I'll just take out a large ad in our local paper saying she's the greatest!) please email all poems to jsbabineau@sympatico.ca Thanks in advance. |

children make a special card for her and tell her what she means to you and your family. I am sure that she would love something like that, I know I do. A willing partner for working moms, She comforts, pampers, soothes, and calms. With all the love she has to share, She's great to have when Mommy can't be there. She loves to rock a fussy child, Corrects the one who gets too wild. She hears her share of tearful pleas, And comforts those with skinned up knees. With little children she plays games of peek, For bigger ones it's hide and seek. She is an expert at each game, But somehow loses just the same. She helps them learn the alphabet, And gives them hugs when they're upset. She gently tucks them in their beds, With dreamland tales for sleepyheads. She is a true and trusted friend, Who helps them learn and play pretend. Although she's paid, it's plain to see, She serves them with a love that's free. -- ~*~ To the World you may be One Person, but to One Person you may be the World! ~*~ "Matthew's Mum" <jenseto@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:6dfce537.0405221828.4d197eab@posting.google.c om... > Our son has been in a home daycare for almost 3 years and our daughter > for about a year. THE HAND HOLDERS
A Tribute to Childcare providers There is no job more important than ours, no job anywhere else in the land. We are the keepers of the future; we hold the smallest of hands. Into our care we are trusted to nurture and care for the young, and for all of our everyday heroics, our talents and skills go unsung. We wipe tears from the eyes of the injured. We rock babies brand new in our arms. We encourage the shy and unsure child. We make sure they are safe from all harm. We foster the bonds of friendships, letting no child go away mad. We respect and we honor their emotions. We give hugs to each child when they're sad. We have more impact than does a professor, a child's mind is molded by four; so whatever we lay on the table is whatever that child will explore. Give each child the tools for adventure, let them be artists and writers and more; let them fly in the wind and dance on the stars and build castles of sand on the shore. It is true that we don't make much money And we don't get a whole lot of praise, But when one small child says, "I love you," we're reminded of how this job pays. From A Working Mom Thank you for caring for my child when I am away. For watching over them when I can't be there. For picking them up & holdng them close when they fall down. For kissing their "boo-boo's" and being there when they are ill. For loving them when they need to feel loved. For instilling in them the godly character traits that I would want instilled. Thank you for praising their accomplishments and for disciplining them when they need it. For putting my child's interests before your own. For watching them so that I can have a little time for myself. God's gift to Mothers who work is the Caregiver. No price, no amount can be put on the value of a caregiver who loves my child as I do. Because of you, I can go to work and feel at peace and secure knowing that you are caring for my child. Thank you for being there for us, A working Mom. ~~~~ Author Unknown ~~~~ -- ~*~ To the World you may be One Person, but to One Person you may be the World! ~*~ "Matthew's Mum" <jenseto@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:6dfce537.0405221828.4d197eab@posting.google.c om... > Our son has been in a home daycare for almost 3 years and our daughter > for about a year. The best gift you could give your dc provider is a Big Thank You! Words
mean the world to us! Gifts I have received that I love and cherish are Wind Chimes, a bracelet, knick knacks, Any thing that she can keep and remember your children forever! I use a gold pen and write the children names and year on all of my gifts! Another gift that is very special is a framed picture of your children! I hope this is of some help! Hugs to you for being a wonderful client to this dc Provider! I love "whose child is this". A sincere thank you is worth far more than anything else, and I love this idea of doing a book of poems. Perhaps you could add to it, with photos of your children or pictures they've made. Lucky caregiver :-) Donna |

First I want to tell you this is GREAT! I wish more moms were like you.
Thank you from all of us here. This is great. I love the poem idea.. maybe the first thing should be a hand written letter from you... telling her just how you feel... it means the wolrd to get letters from parents saying thankyou. Then maybe have your son draw a picture.... then the poems. One mom got me a ingraved frame for my menu's.... another parent for me a frame that says Caring understanding wonderful - Daycare Provider... like those wooden ones for moms dads and sister. anything personal like that is great... another mom got me this figurine... it's a Bear with a bear cub and it says the little girls name and my name and (God forbid) World's Best Babysitter. She said "Sorry babysitter was already on it I just had them paint your names" What ever you do will be appriciated!!!! And send cards each year with pictures and a note... we LOVE that I ***ure you! I got a card a few years ago hand written buy a girl I've had since she was 8 months shes now 11. She mved when she was 4 and shes still that little girl in my head... Ilove getting updates from her and her sister ![]() Joanie "Matthew's Mum" <jenseto@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:6dfce537.0405221828.4d197eab@posting.google.c om... > Our son has been in a home daycare for almost 3 years and our daughter > for about a year.
