Of course it would, they give it to alcoholics in withdrawl to ease their symtoms. You might be anxiety free but dulled out otherwise. |

Of course it would alleviate their anxiety. I thought that was understood. I was interjecting that the loss of coordination would negate or offset any beneficial relaxation benefits. |

I agreed with you - used smaller definition of "dulled out" instead of your articulate and concise variation. <g> |

> > think any pro's take this legal perscription drug to control on course anxiety? As someone, who has taken Valium to control (off-course) anxiety, I can say very confidently that Valium is about the worst thing you can do to your game (and life). Put Tiger Woods on Valium and I'll bet the house to beat him. There's a reason why Valium is prescription-only, it's not something you take for having a fun day on the links, it's for serious illnesses. What you termed on-course anxiety is just a normal and healthy fact of life. People get nervous when there is a chance that they might not perform well. Real anxiety (in the medical sense) is a whole different animal, comparable only to things that are illegal and not to be talked about. Also: for you as a reader of this newsgroup, there is no shortage of radical and crazy Golf improvement theories even without Valium ![]() Ulrich |
