Im trying to Reload Windows onto a system (corrupted, etc), but during Install, Setup cant recognized the HardDrive. When I go into the BIOS, my Maxtor is there. (Channel 0, Master). When I change the Boot sequence to HD 1st, I get boot failure. When I change it to Boot from CD, setup begins, but just prior to installiong Windows, it tells me that "Setup did not find any Hard Disc Drives installed in your computer. Make sure Harddrives are properly connected and powered up". Of course, I've checked all connections and of course the powere is connected> Any Ideas?? Thanx |

If so you need to press F6 as the Windows CD starts up and load the SATA drivers from Floppy disk when Windows Install asks for them. Also explore your Bios settings you may be able to set the SATA to appear as a normal IDE drive. Best Paul. |
