Default Vegetables and Infertility

Protein Intake from Vegetable Sources Rather Than Animal Sources May
Reduce the Risk of Ovulatory Infertility
Keywords: OVULATORY INFERTILITY, PREGNANCY - Protein, Animal Protein,
Vegetable Protein
Reference: "Protein intake and ovulatory infertility," Chavarro JE,
Willett WC, et al, Am J Obstet Gynecol, 2008; 198(2): 210.e1-7.
(Address: Department of Nutrition, Harvard School of Public Health,
Boston, MA 02115, USA. E-mail: jchavarr@hsph.harvard.edu ).
Summary: In a study involving 18,555 married women without a history
of infertility, results indicate that higher intake of protein from
vegetable sources instead of animal sources may lower the risk of
ovulatory infertility. During 8 years of follow up, 438 women reported
ovulatory infertility. After adjusting for potential confounders, the
highest quintile for animal protein intake was ***ociated with a 39%
increased risk of ovulatory infertility, compared with the lowest
quintile. On the other hand, the highest quintile for vegetable
protein intake was ***ociated with a 22% reduced risk of ovulatory
infertility, compared with the lowest quintile. Additionally,
substituting animal protein with vegetable protein for 5% of total
energy intake was ***ociated with a 50% reduced risk of ovulatory
infertility. Thus, the authors of this study conclude, "Replacing
animal sources of protein with vegetable sources of protein may reduce
ovulatory infertility risk."

There are many pubmed articles that relate environment pollutants (ie
TCDD) to infertility. Even while TCDD levels have been decreasing in
dietary animal fats, that already consumed during the past three
decades combined with TCDD's long half life of 10 year means many may
have significant amounts for many years.

Environmental toxicants and effects on female reproductive function.
One of the most toxic substances known to humans, 2,3,7,8-
tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD or dioxin), is also highly pervasive
in the environment. It is created naturally in volcanic eruptions and
forest fires, and anthropogenically in waste incineration,
chlorination processes and certain plastics manufacture. From reports
of large industrial and other accidents, or from experimental studies,
dioxin exposure has been correlated in animal models and/or humans
with chloracne of the skin, organ cancers, hepatotoxicity, gonadal and
immune changes, pulmonary and other diseases such as diabetes, skewing
of the *** ratio, and infertility. We have demonstrated that the
aromatic hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) that binds dioxin in tissues is
localized in zebrafish, rat and rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) ovaries
and in rat and human luteinizing granulosa cells (GC) (among other
tissues), that labeled dioxin is specifically localized to granulosa
cells of the ovarian follicle as observed by autoradiography, and that
incubations of GC or ovarian fragments with environmentally relevant
concentrations (fM to nM) of dioxin inhibit estradiol secretion
significantly. Our experiments show that in human, non-human primate,
rat, trout, and zebrafish ovarian tissues, dioxin inhibits estrogen
synthesis at some level of the steroid biosynthetic pathway, most
likely by inhibiting transcription of mRNAs for or activity of side-
chain cleavage (Cyp11a1 gene) and/or aromatase (Cyp19a1 gene) enzymes,
or conceivably other steroidogenic enzymes/factors. Such an untoward
effect on estrogen synthesis in females exposed to dioxin
environmentally may predispose them to defects in aspects of their
fertility. PMID: 18516253

Let me .. decipher .. this post for ya ..

Dioxins .. are found in meat ..

Dioxins cause your infertility ..

Dioxins are now eliminated from your diet when you eat vegetables ..

The vegetables take the dioxin out of your body .. the ten years' ..
worth of dioxins ..

THAT is why vegetables work so well ..

Vegetables are dioxin chelating foods ..

Contrary to what .. jay .. would have you believe .. dioxins ARE
removable BY .. ?

Obviously a vegetarian diet ..

Now I doubt if .. jay .. is going to write it down ..

Someone should write it down for jay .. and forward it to him ..

Title it .. dioxin removal with .. diet.

Highest amounts were in the fat of meat/fish/poultry/eggs/dairy.
Governments has been working to reduce them.

TCDD is the most potent dioxin. Under normal cir***stances (whatever
that might me), one's current level of TCDD would drop by half in 10
years, if no additional TCDD is consumed, inhaled via lungs or
absorbed via skin during that time.

Fiber and chlorophyll reduce TCDD's half life. Eating synthetic non-
absorbable fats (ie olestra) can reduce TCDD's half life to 2 years.
Donating blood is another method. Anybody know of other practical
methods?

I thought I explained it well enough ..

Dioxins are found in meat .. ?

Yep .. you repeated that ..

And NOW .. you are fully aware .. diet will remove these ..
dioxins ..

Dioxin removal with .. diet.

Seems it only took a week of posting to my threads for you to find out
something new ..

Diet .. removes .. dioxin ..

You should maybe write to one or two .. dioxin .. experts .. ?

THAT would be the thing to .. dooo .. ?

And while you are at it .. maybe tell them about the .. bloodletting
part and how it is to BE .. **used** in dioxin .. poisoning .. ?

Seems nobody KNOWS about bloodletting for .. dioxins .. ?

Seems like you may have set a precedent ..

Of course setting a precedent isn't WORTH a .. post .. of its' ..
own .. ?

Heh .. heh ..

Next time you mention bloodletting for dioxin poisoning .. you
place .. a citation ..
for that little ditty ..

IF you would be so .. kind.

Otherwise one might think you .. make .. sht .. up ..

I think it will be BETTER if you don't.. post .. atall .. to MY
threads UNTIL .. you can back up the bloodletting .. claim.
