In military terms, I pretty much agree.

Like as soon as he started the m*** slaughter in the south? And
let's face it, 'the world' would never have been ready to take him
out. It took men of vision and courage like George Bush, Tony Blair,
and John Howard to do that.

I guess we can say that about most things in life.

No fly zones did nothing to preclude SH from doing anything he wanted within
his own country.

Joey, obviously you haven't been following the posts here for very long nor
paying much attention to the liberal news organizations.

Default (CBS) A weekly commentary by CBS News Correspondent Andy Rooney.

Years ago, I was asked to write a speech for President Nixon.

I didn't do that, but I wish President Bush would ask me to write a
speech for him now.

Here's what I'd write if he asked me to - which is unlikely:

My fellow Americans - (the word "fellow" includes women in political
speeches):

My fellow Americans. One of the reasons we invaded Iraq was because I
suggested Saddam Hussein had something to do with the terrorist attack
on the World Trade Center. No evidence that's so, I wish I hadn't said
it.

Agreed. The only way to go in is to take out anyone who resists at all.
At the time or later. I know people here don't know that many of the so
called civilians kill many troops. Later the country like Vietnam can
claim we killed civilians. To the people of the US they need to have
seen it first hand & up close & they would not say that ****. They have
been told war is hell. The only thing is they just don't know what hell
is all about from a soldiers point of view.
Now that we are there we need to swing a very big stick & anyone that
shows any resistance needs to see the inside of a barbed wire holding
area. 3ftX4ftX 24inches high while wearing nothing but what they were
born with. The Vietnam Mountain Yards knew how to do it right. Some
other did also but that's another story best not told.

I took it as satire with some facts tossed in. How did you take it? <g>
