All you want is a dial-up phone number so that you can access your
emails etc if your BB goes down - which can and does happen!

Ooops! I've just checked my connection settings and I use my BT account
for dial-up if my BB goes down. :/

He won't! But Wanda do say...
If you're a Wanadoo Pay As You Go member and haven't used your Wanadoo
account to dial up to Wanadoo in the last 90 days, your account will
suspend and you will no longer be able to connect.

But surely there has to be a backup system if BB goes down?

The one bad outage you had you used to pop in here, so you have used Wanda
dial-up...I remember now...they suggested signing up for their month trial
anytime :-)
