information on Suse that made me take a second look. I guess what I am looking for is a Linux OS that is simple to set up (on a windows network, share files/folders, and firewall). Which one is better for these simple operations and is more friendly to formal windows users. Thanks! |

The one thing that SuSe has going for it is Yast, its all in one utility. Mandrake cannot come close. However, I do believe that Mandrake is actually easier to setup, I know the disk utility is definately superior. For ease of install, the nod would have to go to Mandrake. For overall performance, probably SuSE, though Mandrake is not far behind. For me, Yast is the deciding factor. The "Harddrake" utilities in Mandrake are more frustrating than useable. Deb |
