> > Make the time for it, whatever you do. Exactly. I was just doing some counseling with a woman who found out she needs a heart transplant like tomorrow. She's dealing with huge marital issues and worried about her daughter. I suggested she put the marriage issues aside and spend every moment she can gigling and marveling with her daughter. You never know when today not lead to tomorrow-- maybe that's why I prefer fun to work so much and can't wait to start the job that feels fun again! |

.. I still don't know what I > want to be when I grow up. HOLD THE PHONE!! Will this mean I grew up?? LOL!! Laura, I *do* feel lucky. In the early days of MT I absolutely LOVED it. I was happy working. I was thrilled as the business grew. Then the issues for the profession became too heavy to deal with on a daily basis. Of course, my personal life changes of having worked so hard so many hours through my kids' growing up that once I found myself divorced and the kids all gone, the "thrill" of having a career which allowed me to be home and share in their lives was gone. I'm happy to be taking a lot of my MT lessons with me though.... and after tons of trial and error, happy I found my niche. KEEP LOOKING-- It's out there! P.S.-- And don't be afraid to go for it..... |

Peter Pan, and since there has to be one grown up in the household the role fell to me! In other words, I am a lead weight serving as ballast for a hot air balloon! ((Who wants to grow up anyhow? ))
Not me. My family says I'll never grow up. However, I don't think they meant it as a compliment. ![]() Judity |

It isn't what it's cracked up to be. I told our son, I'm no more wiser and
have no more answers than I did at 18. Just life experience and grouchiness which translates to there are some things I won't put up with. I think our son has phostinghostinghostinged us on maturity. He bought a beautiful 2001 jeep last week. Today was advised bank wanted more down and he told the dealer no way. I told you my limit! He gave them the car back!!!! I said for a 26 year old buying his first "on his own" car and one he absolutely loved to hold to his principles and walk away, I am truly proud. Dang, how'd we get such a neat kid anyway? -- Sue -- Firefighter mom -- Still Rabid UW Dawg Fan!
