Medicine - Transcription

I'm getting vacationitis. Instead of working a lot, I'm trying to get
Tuesday off!!! We leave Wednesday. Haven't seen mom since September and
look forward to seeing her and to our trip, Mom and her four girls! I'm
sure you'll hear about us on the evening news if for nothing else than being
(as my dad always said) The loudest damn women in the world!! He would have
a fit when we got the giggles or got loud and excited. He will be looking
down on us with pride though as we take mom to Sun Valley and Jackpot and
lots of fun in between!

We fly out Wednesday a.m. You can tell I don't va/ca much as this is a big
deal to me (what a life, huh?) But we are a close family and do have fun
together!

You too? I'm leaving Wednesday for San Diego. I'll be driving down,
though, to see my daughter, attend the dedication of the memorial to my
Dad's WW2 ship (USS San Diego), and have a mini-family reunion.

Well, hope you all don't leave your brains and coordination on vacation with
you. We got home last night. This a.m. I put the instant oatmeal in the bowl.
Having not taken my coffee mug out yet, I absent-mindedly spooned the instant
coffee on top of the oatmeal.

Then I went downstairs to my office and on the way out, half tripped over the
dog, hit my chin on a piece of furniture and almost sat on the dog. Hope the
rest of the day goes better.

I am having a terrible time making myself sit here and work today!! We got
these really great kites a few weeks ago - one with an 80" wingspan - is a
dragon fly and his eyes move, etc. The other has a 75" wing span and is a
parrot - wings flap, heads move, etc. I haven't been able to make it out to
the beach with my son to fly them yet and today that's all I want to do. Of
course, I have a ton of work as usual for a Monday morning. Hopefully we will
make it out there later though!

Tough to get back into that old routine, huh? I'm hoping to get a few days to
visit our in-laws and old school chums, but no thought of a REAL vacation until
next year, when I am done with school and paying of the new car.

Make the time for it, whatever you do. Years from now, the memory of
today's work won't mean a thing to you, but the memory of going kite
flying with your son will be a treasure.

I just made plans for a surprise visit to my mom for mother's day. I
was pleasantly surprised at the good air fare I was able to get for
that weekend. So don't tell her -- and that especially means you,
Janice! (Hey Janice, let's try to get together some time that
weekend, OK? It's been years!)

Can't! Just all a call from one account I work on with other gals. We have
14 tapes!!! I will not work tomorrow, however.
