it seems that Nextel users from all across the country are getting backlashed because of "rudeness" in using their phone/speaker in public so that everyone has to here their conversations. Even myself as a Nextel customer, I get highly annoyed at people who air their PTT conversations so that *everyone* has to here what the hostinghostinghostinghosting they are talking about. i guess it makes them feel important. When will people realize that its annoying to hear someones conversation. I am personally tired of hearing hostinghostinghostinghosting like this: BEEP BEEP! Chirp! Whostinghostinghostingsssssuppp!?!? BEEP BEEP! What joo doing? Chirp! Nothing BEEP BEEP! Where you at dawg!? Chirp: Im at da store getting some Corona! BEEP BEEP! Hew mommy needs some tampons! Chirp: OK dawg does she need the ones with wings or the camouflauge flavored ones? Seriously ive heard hostinghostinghostinghosting like this. QAnd with lots of young kids owning Boost prepaid phones around here, its getting worse because they copy the adults. A second generation of rude hostinghostinghostinghostinghostinghostinghostings is coming. Then with verizon and sprint working on their own PTT its gonna get alot worse. SO USE THE hostinghostinghostinghostingING IN EAR FEATURE WHENEVER YOU CAN!!!! Think of the children. Cause when you forget to use etiquette, you make baby jebus cry. /me awaits flames. when to use speaker and when to use earpiece. I don't like the Nextel users who call me and just start blabbing right away without giving me the first "courtesy" beep. Lately, I carry my phone on vibrate, so I won't hear them until I pick up the phone and answer or flip to speaker manually. Not my problem if they have to repeat themselves! their PTT button and start talking or something. I wish there was a way to shut off the PTT feature (rather than having it on vibe only, etc.) to temporarily stop that altogether. I wish more people would take the extra half a second and alert someone or just give a "heads up" chirp before they start babbling. "Mark" < in message news: Quote:

When they start babbling, hit the 'exit' button, effectively cutting them off, and then answer them as if they had just beeped you. After a few times like that, they'll learn to beep first, talk when answered. -- The Fat Man-25® ²°°³ When I want your opinion I'll squeeze your head. ------------------------------------------------------------ Is that the dim spark of an idea in your brain?
