have a feeling it might be the indicator one. Will replacing the relay fix this or does it need a new indicator stalk ? How much is the stalk and is it easy to replace ? How much do the dealers charge ? Thanks Mark |

did seem to be related to the indicators. Eventually it went really mad, with smoke and stuff. It hasn't done it since at all - maybe dirt somewhere which eventually burned off? You could try cleaning it with contact spray and working the stalk up and down. Otherwise a new one is required. Don't know the price--around 20 to 30 quid. Try second hand. Easy to fit, but you do need a small torx screwdriver. Half an hour tops even for a dealer!! |

If you have the aerosol contact spray with the "straw" attachment, it makes it easier. Just spray into any opening you can find liberally, and move the stalk. Let the excess drain out and allow to dry. If you have access to compressed air, dry with that. Then try it. |
