Watching from the outside, I'm in the UK, I notice all the Bush
apologists are blaming everyone but Bush and his administration.

BTW The British tourists, who were finally rescued in New Orleans, are
disgusted at the treatment they have received from the American
authorities.

Looks like this was an evacuation problem then...but with the
corruption that exists in New Orleans local government it really
doesn't surprise me.

The corruption exist at all levels of government. Diverting 80% of the levee
funding in 2003 and 2004 to Iraq is criminal. It took congress to restore the
money and it was still short of what was needed.

Considering Bush hasn't vetoed anything, they should have restored it all.
They are in control of the moneys.

Yeah, and the levees would have been done years ago if Clinton didn't cut
the funding... and the funding hadn't been stolen... and the local
government did a little something about a local problem instead of looking
to the feds...
