Does anyone sell it other then > Epson? Is there a generic Durabright ink? The JetTec Lighfast pigmented inks are designed to give superior results on all media being fast drying and optimised for Photo printing. They have just been produced today : The E89 Black (TO44140) contains 13ml of ink compared to the standard Epson which is rated as 8ml. The C/M/Y E89 C/M/Y (TO44240/340/440) just the same. Black is £6.79 Colours £5.82 with a Save-A-Bundle coming in at £23.00... They could be on site by tomorrow. For customers not aware of the inherent confusion of the Epson cartridges. The standard is said to contain 8ml of ink . The higher capacity is claimed to contain 13ml. The C64 will only accept the middle 13ml type size. The C84 will accept the Black higher capacity of 30 ml. JetTec compatible cartridges are already fitted with the patent pending 30% extra life chips. This gives 30% extra printing for the standard Epson Black and an astonishing 100% more life than the standard (8ml) Epson OEM colour. The European models are the C64 and C84. In Asia and S-America the equivalents are the C63 and C83 and have an Asia regional code on the cartridge. They are at it again Nuff said. And some compatibles are being sold with typically dye based inks and give poor lighfastness. Tony -- Inkylink JetTec UK Quality - Wot others wanna-be Epson 950 C70/80/82 Lighfast pigmented inks. I would simply refill the carts when they indicate empty and reset the chip at that time. >I'd like to stick with Durabright ink. Does anyone sell it other then >Epson? Is there a generic Durabright ink? Durabright is a brand name as is "Ultrabright". I have read that the two are similar, but never confirmed this. Basically, there are two types of ink: Dye and Pigment. Wthin the Pigment type, certain inks--eg Durabright--are formulated to work on glossy paper. If you just want the ink for the Epson C84 (and any other Epson
durabright - otherwise called pigmented ink) then try www.printerowners.co.uk/specialityinks.htm. The pigmented inks are available online for the C84 and others. |

I cannot comment on other inks unless I've tested them, but when tested the comparisons are naturally with a base line I know, then I can guide questioners in the right direction based on our users comments and satisfaction. Very unfortunately I feel the internet allows lurkers and trolls to throw comments and run. Tony, for sure you use this ng mainly for advetising. This is acceptable if
you reply to *certain* demands from UK users, but not from international users. On the other hand you add very little to technical issuses. To aprove it, I will ask you something for *your* products you advertise... How many ml of ink does a Jettec compatible BCI-3 contain? How many ml does a oem bci-3 contain? But the most significant question is how many ml's does a printer consume from both above cartridges? To simplify the question you can answer in gramms too. In the past you compare jettec's bci-3 with oem, in the aspect of content. The same question for the Epson C64/84 inks, you stated -in your email signature- that jettec's contains 30% more ink!!! By what I understand from the info Jet Tec sends us at work, there isn't really 30% more ink in the cartridges. Their design merely allows you to use most of the ink that is contained in the cartridge. We do have a trade account with Jet Tec, but we purchase very little from them as they have proved to be an unreliable firm to deal with. Wrong / short deliveries, wrong prices invoiced, a nightmare to get credit notes. Much better suppliers also have great ink. |
