Default prints per cartridge

How many 8x10s does one get to a set of cartridges with a desk top inkjet
printer.
Need this for a price comparison, I'm interested in trsditional 2 cartridge
printers (Epson 1280 etc) and multi cart printers (Epson 2200, HP 2000 etc).
Never mind continous ink systems.

Thanks
Tom

As I understand it, both the Epson 1280 and 2200 have multi color SEPARATE
tanks. The main difference is that the 1280 is dye ink and the 2200 is the
pigment based ink.

Please clarify your question.

The Epson 960 and 2200 have separate tanks with the 960 using
water soluble base dye ink and the 2200 using a water soluble base pigment
hybrid
ink. The 1280 is a two tank system using water soluble base dye inks.

The average full bleed letter size photo prints is about between 50 and 60
prints
before cartridge change of at least one color is required.

Perhaps I should say until one or more cartridges have to be replaced I know
this will vary otherwise. a very direct question, trying to get an idea how
many 8x10s various printers can do for a proposal.
What I know so far (8x10's or 8.5x11)
My Epson 1200 30 prints
A collegues HP5550 30 prints
The next person in the news group an Epson 1280 50-60 prints

This is what I need to know.

Would love to know how many 8x10's are possible before changing inks on an
Epson 2200.
BTW the Epson 1280 has 2 tanks, B&W and 5 color.
