My printer and old Epson 1200 uses Dye inks, some of the compatible cartridge makers Boast that their cartridges contain pigment ink. Is pigment ink really compatible with a printer designed for dye ink. Thanks Paul |

You should never use pigmented inks in a unit that wasn't designed to take them - you could end up killing the printer! |

I have MIS ink in my 1280 and it works flawlessly. There is nothing intrinsic in the desing of a dye-based printer that would preclude using pigment ink. ************************** Mark Herring, Pasadena, Calif. Private e-mail: Just say no to "No". |
