a friend of mine and me made some new videos of my swimming. The first shows me while swimming butterfly: The second shows me crawl: If you like you can find more videos over there: If you have any suggestions on how to do better, I would be very happy. Or maybe you find my videos useful for your own practice. Patrick |

I watched the butterfly. Fun stuff. I would say your arms are a bit late on the pull (You did say you would accept advice ![]() You get your head back in the water and your hips up pretty nicely after the pull. But then as your head and shoulders pulse back to the surface, you haven't started your arm pull. If you start your arm pull much earlier, then the energy of that body dolphin bringing the front of your body back to the surface will help your pull. It will give the stroke more rhythm and your arms won't tire as fast. Or you can do what I do - avoid Tuesdays and Thursdays when they swim stroke. Eric |

This will get really tiring after only a few laps. I think that if you work on flexibility, and keep swimming some fly in your workouts, that you'll improve very rapidly as you have the basic mechanics down. |

head motion and flat hips. I'm more comfortable doing the opposite, initiating movement from the chest, which continutes through to the hips, but leaving my head and even my shoulders alone. I'll try to dig up the little video I made of this. rtk Mark wrote: > Patrick Röder <> wrote in message news:<>. .. > >>Hi, >> >>a friend of mine and me made some new videos of my swimming. >> >>The first shows me while swimming butterfly: >> >> >>The second shows me crawl: >> >> >>If you like you can find more videos over there: >> >> >>If you have any suggestions on how to do better, I would be very happy. >>Or maybe you find my videos useful for your own practice. >> >>Patrick > > > > > On the butterfly, it looks good, but you should probably work on your > flexibility, as it looks like you're having trouble getting your arms > out of the water while maintaining a good body position.
