I think of installing a Blaupunkt radio/nav instead of the standard radio/cd which came with my Corolla (model Sol, E12T). How can be the radio/CD be romoved? I could not find any screws, clips, holes or something like it. Thanks Peter |

the plastic trim off. You'll see the four screws that hold the metal radio bracket into the dash. The plastic radio trim invariably has clips which you loosen by carefully prying with a small flathead screwdriver or something similar. The manual will show you where the clips are and where to pry. You have to do it carefully to avoid breaking the trim. It is a 12/2002 model, the name of the variant is Sol (at least it is called Sol here in Germany, the one with the aluminium colored panel and buttons to control the fan, the temperature etc.) >The radio itself is easy to remove once you get > the plastic trim off. I have checked the panel again a few minutes ago but could not find any hint where to pry or sometning like this. Any ideas? Greetings Peter |

Hey Peter...
Have you considered having a local pro do it? Im sure there is a car audio shop near you. They could do it quickly, with a warranty, and have you listening to the new radio already. Just a thought. |
