I have about 1400 miles on my new Sienna. I am baffled by the appearance of the oil on the dipstick. It is so clean that it really looks like it just came out of the can, instead of out of the crankcase. Why would there be no darkening of the oil as there has been in every other engine I have seen? Thanks, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |

My '92 Corolla and '97 Corolla are the same way. It is hard to read the oil for awhile. Terrible 'problem' to have <g> Scott in Florida |

Oil stayed clean between oil changes, and I mean clear. My 04 Sienna is getting just a bit light honey color at about 2500 miles from the first oil change. To answer your question I think it's because of the clean burning Toyota engines. I read where the 04 Sienna is rated super clean. Dale -- |

Can you tell me why the oil appears so clean in comparison with other engines. Thanks, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |

I only have 450 miles on my new Sienna. The oil is clear and the tailpipe is
clean inside. I expected to at least see some soot in the tailpipe. Have you burned any oil the 2500 miles? Charlie Ranheim |
