monitor to my system (but cheaply). I ended up ditching my old card and installing a card with a Radeon 9250. I have everything set up almost exactly how I want it-- the old monitor in landscape at 1600x1200, the new monitor in portrait. But one last problem-- the new LCD monitor has a native resolution of 1440x900, and there are no options for that resolution in the version of the display drivers that came with the card (and weren't any in the 8.6 drivers that I was using in my old card). The nearest match is 1360x768, which I'm running it at now. I've done some googling without conclusive answers. Is there a way (regestry tweak, third party applet) that I can use to force my monitor to work at 1440x900 (or, as I'm running in portrait, 900x1440)? Here's a screenshot-- on the right is the 1600x1200 monitor (with Firefox maximized in the background) and on the left is the 768x1360 one with Adobe Acrobat maximized (with black space at the top and bottom of the do***ent) http://webpages.charter.net/garrison...screenshot.jpg |
