Windows XP - "Uninstall program" in Operating System ( OS )

Default Uninstall program

I need to Uninstall a program, "Limewire".
The "Add/Remove" Program function of windows xp does not
work in this case. The "access is denied" message pops
up. Would someone advise me on how to remove this
program.

Simple way is to search the registry and delete it there. Then find the file
and delete it.

Hi Mike,

You likely need to take ownership of the program folder. Locate it using
Windows Explorer, right-c**** the folder and select properties. Go to the
security tab and c**** advanced. You can take control of the folders on the
owner tab. For the security tab to appear in a WinXP Pro system, you must
disable simple file sharing in the control panel/folder options/view tab.
For a WinXP Home system, you must restart in safe mode and logon as
administrator. More details here:
