I used to get windows udates all the time and microsoft
sould let me know when there was new one's to get. It
doesn't do that anymore after I switched ISPs. I also
tried to go the windows updates on the web site to try
from there and it won't let me check for updates there
either. It says there is and error when i try. What do I
do? I would like to keep getting the patches.

Contact your ISP tech support for proper settings. Not all ISPs are the same.
